  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp datil pepper dust

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  3. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugars together until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla and eggs and mix until well combined.

  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.

  5. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.

  6. Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden brown around the edges.

  7. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
